DIY Dressing Frame
Buttoning dressing frame made from an old shirt!
Here's the grungy, dirty, falling apart lacing frame I had in my classroom. It was stained and the grommets were falling out. Dressing frames are expensive and like most teachers, I'm on a limited budget. So here is how I made my own dressing frame for my toddler environment.
Get an d button up shirt. I used the old material as a pattern to cut the right size from the new material.
Make sure both pieces of material line up properly.
Button the pieces together and line them up using the frame. You want it to be secure and fit properly but not be too tight.
The edges do not have to be super even because you're going to pin the sides and trim it down after.
I cut pieces of Velcro to sew on but you could use an entire strip of Velcro down each side. These need to be sewed on. Adhesive type velcros will probably not hold up to the tough work of Toddlers.
